Hunger Games Auditions?

I heard that the book "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins is being turned into a movie and I was wondering if anyone knew where you could tell me where the auditions would be held. I live in New York. PS Do you think i could play Katniss? I'm in 6th grade so i don't know if they'll let me. Thanks!
